Hair Disorders
There are a variety of hair disorders ranging from excess hair to a localized decrease in hair. In general, we all will begin to have thinner more fragile hair as we age. If one has a severe illness or life event, it is common to experience shedding of the hair approximately 3 months after this event occurs. Thyroid disease and anemia are also common causes of hair loss. For male androgenetic hair loss, there is a pill we can prescribe to help improve this condition along with Rogaine topical foam that is over the counter. The following are links of some of the more common types of hair loss.
