Angela Bowers-Plott, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist who opened her practice in Southlake July 1999. She attended Texas A&M University for her undergraduate work and was a Summa Cum Laude graduate. Dr. Bowers completed medical school at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas where she graduated with honors in Alpha Omega Alpha. Following her medicine internship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, she completed her dermatology residency training at UT Southwestern and served as Chief Resident during her final year. She currently is president of the Dallas Dermatological Society and is actively involved in not only her specialty but also her community of Southlake, Texas. She is married with two sons.
Sara Heldt, M.D. joined Southlake Dermatology in 2010 following completion of her residency at Georgetown University Hospital where she served as chief resident. She is a graduate of Carroll High School and attended the University of Texas at Austin with a Plan II honors program degree. Dr. Heldt received her medical training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX where she was actively involved in melanoma research at MD Anderson. She is currently an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. Dr. Heldt specializes in medical, cosmetic and surgical dermatology. She is happy to be back in Texas and in her spare time enjoys running, playing piano, travel and giving back to her community.
Beth Jouett, PA-C is a graduate of Texas A & M University where she received her Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science. Ms. Jouett next received a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She placed in the top 3% of the nation on the Physican Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE), receiving special recognition in both primary care and surgery. Prior to joining Southlake Dermatology, Ms. Jouett worked as a Physician Assistant with a large dermatology group in Tyler. In her spare time she enjoys reading, scrapbooking and spending time with her family.
Cheryl Hickey, PA-C
Joined our practice in 2009 and will help us to serve the needs of our current and future patients. She grew up in Arlington, Texas and received her B.S. in Physician Assistant Studies from UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She worked in primary care initially but has spent the past ten years solely in dermatology. She enjoys cooking, tennis and being a mom to her two children.
